We’ve been talking about this for a while and it’s finally here!
Welcome to our all-new WorryTree app!
If you’ve installed or updated WorryTree recently then you’ll know we’ve made some really big changes - not just to the look and feel of our app but also to how it works, with some wonderful new features that we’re really proud of!
So today we’re going to break down the changes that we’ve made here, and introduce you to our new look WorryTree!
A new look, with new features
We’ve made some big changes to your home screen so that you can see all of the features of WorryTree and find your favourite ones much more quickly. Now you can easily choose which daily practice you want to use, you can access more support from your home screen as well as see how many worries you’ve resolved so far.
We’ve introduced a menu across the bottom of your screen so that you can go straight to our new sensory practices, see your profile and change your settings.
This creates the basis for more new practices which we’ll be bringing to WorryTree soon, and you’ll now be able to access everything from your main home screen.
Take a moment of calm with our sensory practices
Many of you have been asking for some breathing practices to be introduced to WorryTree or an SOS button for an anxious moment. We’ve worked with the wonderful Sally Hardie to bring you these sensory practices, which you’ll find by tapping on the heart symbol at the bottom of every screen. If you’d like to find out more about Sally you can visit her website here.
Our sensory practices are designed to be used whenever you’re feeling anxious, stressed or activated emotionally. They’ll bring you back into your body, calming your mind so that you can then move on to our thought practices like adding a worry and problem-solving.
To start with we’ve introduced four different sensory practices focusing on different senses, and we’re hoping to bring you more very soon!
We’re now easier on the eyes
Another feature you’ve been asking for since we created WorryTree is dark mode and so we’ve been working hard to create a darker, higher contrast version which meets accessibility standards whilst still looking as beautiful as our light mode in WorryTree.
You can change to dark mode from within the settings section of WorryTree or choose to set up your app alongside the system settings on your phone. Either way you’ll now find it easier and more comfortable to use WorryTree in darker environments or if you prefer a higher contrast screen.
Using WorryTree on more than one device
Something you’ve been asking for ever since we created WorryTree was to be able to see your worries across more than one device, whether that’s your phone and your tablet or being able to take your worries and settings with you when you get a new phone.
In order to do this we’ve introduced accounts for WorryTree, so that you’ll now log in, with Google, your Apple ID or an email and password. This will help you keep your information more secure on your device, and it means you’ll now be able to keep all your information when you change your phone. It also means you can reset your password if you forget. And don’t worry, your information is still really secure so that no one can have access to it except you.
Moving your old worries across to the new app
As we’ve moved to account-based access to WorryTree, you might want to bring your worries with you from our older version of WorryTree and so we’ve also created a way to move your worries across. When you first install our update, you’ll be invited to save your old worries into the new version, so make sure you tap on this and after a few moments, you’ll find all your old worries in your new version of WorryTree!
